As a mastodon user who doesn't follow the bot but wants to know what's up with the power outage having an area or neighborhood hashtag would increase discoverability for people who follow their town or neighborhood hashtags.

Any preference between just the neighborhood name in the hashtag (ie #CapitolHill) versus including the city name after to make it a more specific hashtag to follow (ie #CapitolHillSeattle)?

In the case with the city name after, we'd plan to handle neighborhood names that end with the city name so it isn't redundant (West Seattle)

I think I'd do #CapitolHill and #Seattle assuming that the city and neighborhood are different, for example Burien is both the neighborhood and city (in posts I've seen).
